HOW TO HIRE A HOTEL PHOTOGRAPHER

A few years ago you could get by with a handful of good images for your printed brochures.
Today you have an ongoing need for stunning images.
Multiple websites, booking engines, your sales and marketing team, and social media require the most compelling images possible within your budget.

Properties that have been recently opened or renovated should budget for a complete photoshoot for all collateral, web, and sales and marketing.

Once you’ve decided that you want to hire a professional photographer to capture stills and perhaps video at your property, start by deciding between the two primary types of hotel & resort images - “Standard” imagery and “Creative/Marketing” images.
Standard images follow best-practices standards established by corporate brands. Follow those guidelines (outlined below) and you will have great images that meet the requirements of multiple platforms including booking engines.

Creative/Marketing images are intended for a more limited but profitable audience. These photos allow your sales and marketing team to showcase what you’re capable of providing a select audience for special occasions.
